Creating the first event of its kind for Amazon Spain.
Challenge: The Amazon Logistics Center (BCN1) in Prat de Llobregat is known for implementing the highest robotic technology in Europe. More importantly, it employs over 1,500 people. To celebrate their employees, Amazon asked DRDA to create a special event for them and their families.
Background: We began like we do every project — with a creative strategy that would map out the route to achieve the goals of the client, in this case in the form of an event. We visited the logistics center to get an inside look at the processes and people. While there, we felt the magic of the brand and saw the important role each and every employee plays.
Solution: Our idea was to capture that magic in the first-ever Amazon Family Day with a “summer festival” theme.
We created a visual identity for the event that combined an orange and sunglasses, two staples of summer.
We made sure the festival was full of exciting activities for the whole family. This included live music, games, segway tours, bouncy houses, balloon animals, magicians and so much more, including endless snacks and beverages. We even set up tours of the logistics center during the event so families can see, up close, how cool it really is.
Additionally, our creative team designed all the event signage, event-themed t-shirts, the welcome guide, the snack and drink tickets that were handed out there, and more.
The event was a huge success. Amazon told us they use it as an example for other regions on how to throw a memorable event for the whole family.
